An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ipswich & District Citizens Advice Tower Street office for a Training Supervisor. The role is to provide a recruitment service for volunteers and paid staff and to support them through their learning journey within the organisation. This includes conducting inductions for new staff, organising training events and maintaining comprehensive records for all staff.

You will be confident with recent experience in organising training events and supporting learners. You will have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and feel comfortable communicating with a diverse team. You will have the ability to motivate individuals and provide constructive feedback in order to improve performance. You will have the experience to coach and mentor trainees to meet their full potential. You will have excellent organisation skills and be able to prioritise your own work to meet the needs of the organisation.

The roles will be based in the Ipswich area and report to the Outreach Manager.

As an Outreach Adviser you will be working in GP surgeries throughout Ipswich, providing advice, help and support to clients referred to you by medical professionals. You will be part of an emerging team and will have the opportunity to help shape the new service provision ensuring that the high standards of Citizens Advice and our values and aims are delivered in a timely manner.

You will be a confident, self-driven and self-motivated individual with recent experience as a trained generalist adviser or have the ability to undertake intensive training to reach the required standard within minimum timescales. Citizens Advice Ipswich is looking to recruit a ‘Community Connector’ to assist clients to enabling them to be able to navigate statutory systems, organisations and use facilities in the community effectively.

In this busy role you will be responsible for supporting the clients in the GP surgery who need additional help and support to build their confidence in navigating both statutory bodies and the local community. This will involve on occasion taking Client’s to different locations around the Ipswich area. The role will monitor the Wellbeing of Clients via the Warwick and Edinburgh Wellbeing Score and maintain an up-to-date catalogue of all the groups and organisation within the Ipswich and surrounding area that assist with people’s general wellbeing.

A friendly disposition and computer literacy are essential alongside good communications skills. You will have responsibility for handling personal data and the integrity of IT systems, so it is essential that you have an eye for detail.

The ideal person will be enthusiastic and customer-focused. You will have the ability to identify and support clients’ needs and be able to build their confidence; therefore excellent communication skills and patience are a must. Ipswich Citizens Advice is looking for a well organised Energy Project Adviser to join our rapidly expanding Money Advice Services Team.

The post holder will carry out (predominantly) telephone based energy assessments and provide advice to clients who are referred to us by our partner organisation. This work may include tasks such as identifying grants, arranging specialist appointments, helping them to switch supplier or tariffs.

A clear and confident telephone manner is essential for this role and, although not essential, it would be preferable for the post holder to have some knowledge or experience in the areas of either energy, money, debt, welfare, advice, law, housing, or benefits.
