*Barry was self-employed. He contracted Long Covid and had drawn down a pension which he and his family had been living off since he had been unable to work. He was very worried about making ends meet. Like many self-employed people, he didn’t think he would be entitled to any help from the state. We supported him to apply for welfare benefits and other grants.
