Help with employment problems

*Shona came to us for help after she was dismissed during her probation period at a new job for making unsatisfactory progress, despite being told she was ‘one of the best performers on the training courses’. Shona has an ongoing health condition which her employer was aware of when they hired her. Unfortunately, she needed to take compassionate leave to support a family member and was also unwell, so had some sick leave.  Despite informing her employer who offered to make reasonable adjustments, Shona felt that she was pushed out of work as these adjustments were not upheld. Our Adviser is helping her make a claim for loss of earnings and compensation for damage to her feelings. Shona has meanwhile mitigated her losses by getting another job which is going well.
